Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb or beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and milk.
  3. Brown meat in a skillet, then add onions, carrots, and garlic.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, broth, Worcestershire sauce, peas, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
  6. Spread meat mixture in a baking dish, top with mashed potatoes.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes until golden.
